New Asphalt on Deere Trail Road

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake would like to inform all Kahnawakero:non that works will begin on Deere Trail Road on Friday, August 21, 2009. The works should take approximately 5 days, weather permitting.

The work area begins at the McGregor Farm area and will tie into the existing asphalt area on Deere Trail Road (Paved Route 207 entrance leading to Mohawk Trail). The work area spans approximately 4,100 feet.

The road will be prepared to receive a two inch thick asphalt surface with the addition of a new gravel base. The gravel base will be approximately 3 inches thick. There will be minor disruptions to local traffic.
