Water Line Break on Old Malone Highway

The Public Works Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community of a major water line break on the Old Malone Highway between the former Rabaska restaurant and the east side of Ally’s Restaurant.

The Public Works Unit is currently on-site to repair the water line, which is expected take a half day. Residents in the area will not have access to water until the repairs are complete.

“We are hoping to complete the repairs quickly to ensure homes have access to water by the end of the day”, said Supervisor of Infrastructure and Operations, Peter Stacey.

A portion of the road behind Ally’s Restaurant is closed to allow for the repairs and will be re-opened upon completion of the work.
