Thin Ice Warning

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke Community Protection Unit would like to advise the community to be cautious of the thin ice covering Kahnawą:kes waterways.
Two incidents have been reported of ice breakage. A child fell through the ice near the K103 radio station and a pet fell through the ice near the Kateri Island bridge. Although both victims are fine, the results could have been tragic.
Please refrain from walking or driving over the ice to prevent another dangerous or possibly fatal accident.
