Traffic Redirected Under Mercier

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawàk:e would like to inform the community that the Mohawk Bridge Consortium is performing repair work under the Mercier Bridge today (16, Enniskó:wa/March) and tomorrow (17, Enniskó:wa/March) from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Kahnawà:ke-bound traffic in the area before the CP Rail tunnel is being re-routed near the piers on Old Depot Road and through the tunnel. Outgoing traffic is being re-routed along the roadway parallel to the CP Rail towards Jojo’s Nursery.

The road detours are necessary for the Mohawk Bridge Consortium to install platforms and perform maintenance over the roadway.

Please use caution when driving through or around the work sites.
