Snowfall warning in effect
04/03/2024
The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake is advising community members that Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for our region.
Snow with total amounts up to 20 centimeters (8 inches) is expected to begin tonight into Thursday.
The weather system will bring us rain, coupled with strong winds, 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h this evening, then changing to snow late tonight.
Be prepared for changing weather and road conditions, along with reduced visibility.
Consider delaying travel, especially if your vehicle is not equipped with winter tires.
Please monitor local media for updated weather forecasts.
