Reminder - Shoreline Clean-up event this Saturday

The Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) wishes to remind the community that KEPO, the GRAME (Groupe de recommandations et d’actions pour un meilleur environnement), and Nathalie Lasselin (Urban Water Odyssey) will be co-hosting the second Shoreline Clean-up event in Kahnawà:ke this weekend.

The operation will be held at the Kahnawà:ke Marina on Saturday, October 15th from 10am until 2pm. The event is open to all Kahnawa’kehró:non, the organizers’ teams, and the media.

Nathalie Lasselin will be accompanied by divers to clean up underwater, while the rest of the volunteers will be working on the land portion.

Walk-up volunteers are welcome on the day of the clean-up. Volunteers are advised to bring good closed-toe shoes, gloves, a water bottle, and appropriate clothing, depending on the weather. Cleaning equipment will be provided on-site. Divers who are interested in volunteering for the event are asked to contact KEPO for more information.

Clean-up volunteers will have the chance to win an eco-friendly prize package worth over $100.
