Water Line Repairs Re-Scheduled

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to inform residents that completion of the Water Line repairs on ‘5th Avenue’ that began Wednesday have been delayed until Friday, 23, Tsothohrkó:wa 2009 at 8 am.

The repairs have been delayed due to the breakdown of heavy excavation equipment needed to perform the work. Once again, residents in the area will be inconvenienced with the loss of water in order for the repairs to be undertaken. Once water has been restored, community members are advised to boil drinking water for 10 minutes until tests prove it is safe to consume.
