Keep kids at home if possible – Step By Step
12/21/2021
Kahnawà:ke’s Public Health Team and Public Safety are asking parents to keep children at home, if possible.
As many community members are aware, the current situation in Kahnawà:ke has become, and remains, critical. Many efforts are being made to reduce contacts in general in order to ensure the safety of community members. Step By Step Early Learning & Family Center, as they have continuously done throughout this pandemic, is maintaining operations with the best safety measures available for staff and children.
Although Step By Step will remain open during this current critical phase as required, it is highly recommended that you keep your children at home if possible. However, in an effort to protect compromised individuals, including our elders, service will be available to those in need. As the situation evolves, we may need to reduce the number of children attending.
The Kahnawake Youth Center has also committed to providing service to the 6- to 12-year-old children of essential service workers over the coming weeks as we collectively navigate together through this fifth COVID-19 wave.
We thank you for your understanding, support, and collaboration.
