Please DO NOT Place Organics in Garbage Collection

The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke would like to remind the community that organic material DOES NOT belong in the household garbage collection.
The Kahnawą:ke Community Composting service is the collection of all organics including:
-
Pumpkins
-
Cornstalks
-
Hay/Straw Bales
-
Leaves (must be in clear, orange or paper bags)
Please have all organics curbside by 7am on the same day as your recycling collection.
Kahnawą:ke Community Organics Collection happens every week and is an effective way for your household to help fight against Climate Change and for a sustainable future.
