10/29/2021
The Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office would like to inform the community that the Tekakwitha Island and Bay Project improvements are continuing with work on the south shore near the Turtle Bay Elders Lodge set to begin Monday November 1st.
Work will consist of creating a path and viewing area to Turtle Bay as well as a rest area. The work will require the removal of approximately 15 trees (dead ash, dead willow, and Manitoba maple) and brush (primarily invasive buckthorn) to create the clearing and rest area.
Work will take place between 7am and 4pm and should be completed within one week. We thank you for your patience as we continue this exciting project.
