Two COVID-19 cases identified at MCK

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke is informing the community that a COVID-19 outbreak has been identified within a department of the organization.
Contact tracing and isolation measures to mitigate the transmission were undertaken immediately, and at this time, there are two (2) employees who have tested positive for COVID-19. Affected individuals are aware and have been advised to follow measures to ensure their own safety and that of their co-workers.
The situation is being closely monitored by Kahnawą:ke Public Health and the MCK, and any additional measures will be applied if, and when appropriate.
*Please note that it is considered an outbreak when two or more persons are connected by an epidemiological link.
