Accidental shooting in Tioweroton results in arrest

The Kahnawake Peacekeepers wish to advise the community that on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, officers responded to reports of an accidental shooting in Tioweró:ton. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the male victim had succumbed to his wounds. 

Officers placed a local male, age 37, under arrest on scene. He faces charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless use of a firearm.
