Fire at residence on Old Chateauguay Road

On the evening of May 10th, 2021, at 22:24, Peacekeepers responded to reports of a fire at a residence on the Old Chateauguay Road. When officers arrived, the structure was already fully engulfed in flames.

The structure was an abandoned residence, and neighbors advised officers of that fact. Neighboring houses were damaged by the fire, and those residents had to be evacuated, as a precaution.

The Kahnawake Fire Brigade has deemed the fire suspicious, and investigators are working to determine the cause. If you have any information that could assist officers, please call (450) 632-6505.
