Authorization Granted to WSP to Conduct Environmental Field Inventories along North Wall shoreline and river next week

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that authorization has been granted to the firm WSP and its technicians, Olivier Buteau and Claudie Landry to be in the Territory of Kahnawą:ke on August 24th and August 25th between 7am and 5pm to conduct fieldwork.
The purpose of the work is to complete a survey of freshwater mussels in the St. Lawrence River along the North Wall for the Ministčre des Transport du Quebec.
Surveys will take place in the area(s) listed below:
- Along the shore of the North Wall between the CP rail Bridge and the Mercier Bridge.
- In the St. Lawrence River east of the Mercier Bridge.
*Please note that all health and safety measures in place for COVID-19 must be respected and followed, such as physical distancing and hand hygiene etc. Masks are mandatory.
