Task Force strongly recommends the use of Face Masks
07/10/2020
The Kahnawà:ke COVID-19 Task Force wishes to advise the community on the matter of the use of Face Masks.
The Task Force is strongly recommending that all persons who are entering public buildings or attending any functions where social distancing may be questionable or in doubt should wear Face Masks to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. While there are no consistent laws in the area that make the wearing of Face Masks mandatory, the position of the Task Force is clear – they highly recommend everyone wear a mask to protect your loved ones and your community.
In the past several days there has been an increase in COVID-19 transmissions in the surrounding areas, which has been a cause of increasing concern among Kahnawa’kehrò:non. This recommendation is being issued as a measure to protect everyone against the spread of the virus.
Your cooperation is very much appreciated during this very challenging time.
