Collision Injures Peacekeeper and Motorist

A routine traffic stop of a vehicle resulted in a pursuit and collision last night on the 207.

At approximately 19:53 the vehicle fled south on the 207, with a Peacekeeper patrol car in pursuit.

Just as the Peacekeeper vehicle approached the area of the home of Peter Moses, a Black Chrysler 300 crossed into the path of the pursuing patrol car, resulting in a collision. The local female driver of the vehicle and a Peacekeeper sustained non-life threatening injuries, and were transported to the Montreal General Hospital.

At that point the pursuit was called off, and Peacekeepers relayed a description of the vehicle to outside police forces.

The suspect vehicle was apprehended near Lancaster Ontario, and the driver was placed into custody.

The suspect is to appear in Longueuil Court.

The incident remains under investigation.
