Ironworkers, travelers returning to Kahnawake requested to self-isolate to combat COVID-19

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to advise Kahnawa’kehró:non that, due to protective measures taken by the community to minimize risk of transmitting the COVID-19 virus, those who are returning from travelling out of the province are recommended to self-isolate for 14 days if they return home to Kahnawà:ke.
Earlier today Emergency Management Committee directed all public service employees in Kahnawà:ke to self-isolate for 14 days from the time they returned from travelling out of province (as of March 12, 2020).
Travelers, such as ironworkers and vacationers, are advised to avoid contact with children and the elderly in order to minimize the risks of spreading the virus.
