Grand Chief To Meet New Provincial Negotiator

Grand Chief Michael Ahríhrhon Delisle, Jr. will have his first meeting tomorrow (Thursday, 5 Ohiarí:ha/June) with the newly-appointed Provincial Negotiator for the Seigneury of Sault St. Louis land grievance.

The appointment of John Parisella was announced late last week by the Quebec government.

“Even though this meeting can be considered preliminary in nature, it nonetheless is significant,” said Chief Delisle. “Now that all three governments are ready to sit at the table together, we can roll up our collective sleeves and let the work begin.”

The next Seigneury joint main table meeting between Canada and Kahnawà:ke is scheduled for Wednesday, 11 Ohiarí:ha/June.
