11/01/2019
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Ministère des Transports du Quebec that the Kahnawà:ke-bound side of the Mercier bridge will be closed to traffic this weekend for asphalt and concrete works. The closure of the Kahnawà:ke-bound Bridge will take place beginning tonight, Friday, November 1st at 11pm, until Sunday, November 3rd at 5am. One lane in each direction will be available on the Montreal-bound Bridge throughout the works. The Airlie exit from the Montreal-bound bridge will also remain open. The Airlie entrance to route 138 west/Kahnawà:ke-bound will be closed (detour via Lafleur and Clément). The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
