Drone to assist in potential Fish Habitat Improvement Project
07/02/2019
The Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Unit (KEPO) wishes to inform the community that they are assessing the potential for a fish habitat improvement project in the Big Fence area.
This work is being done in collaboration with Jacques Cartier-Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) and will involve the use of a drone over portions of the Big Fence area between Wednesday and Saturday, July 3 to 6, 2019 – weather permitting.
The potential work would be completed as compensation for impacts to fish habitats associated with the dismantling of the old Champlain Bridge.
KEPO staff will be accompanying JCCBI and their hired drone consultant in the field at all times.
For more information on this project, please contact KEPO at 450-635-0600.
