MTQ to conduct geotechnical studies on the North Wall

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to advise the community that it will be working with the Ministère des Transport du Quebéc (MTQ) on an upcoming study for the new Mercier Bridge Project.
On Tuesday, November 13, crews will begin borehole drilling in the area of the Mercier Bridge on the North Wall, as preliminary studies continue for the MTQ’S new southbound span for the Mercier bridge.
The study/drilling will take place in the area in an around the current span and will not require any clearing or cutting of trees. A representative from the Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office will be on-site for the duration of the study/drilling.
This work will take approximately three (3) days.
The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions and operational constraints.
