MCK mourns the passing of Lori Jacobs

04/22/2016

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke (MCK) is offering its deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Ms. Lori Niioé:ren Jacobs, who passed away yesterday.

Lori was the sister of Heather, Karen and Council Chief Arlene Jacobs. She was known throughout the MCK as an extremely dedicated and hard-working person. She worked for a time as a member of the MCK Communications team, helped produce the Kahnawą:ke Revisited series, and worked on the Seigneury of Sault St. Louis file as well as many other projects over the years.

More recently, in her role as the producer of the K103 Partyline Talkshow, she worked closely with the MCK to ensure the political issues of the day were addressed on a consistent basis in a timely manner. She will leave a legacy as a great communicator and as someone who truly believed in and loved her community.
