Hazardous Waste pick-up day on Friday, April 22nd

The Waste Management Program (WMP) of the Public Works Unit will be holding a collection day for household hazardous waste materials on Friday, April 22nd at the Knights of Columbus in conjunction with the Eastern Door’s Cleanup Day.

Community members are asked to drop off the following acceptable waste items between 8am and 12 noon 22:

-    Any household hazardous waste item bearing the following symbol(s): Corrosive, Toxic, Reactive, and Flammable
-    Batteries (household only, no automotive)
-    Electronics
-    Fluorescent light bulbs
-    Paints
-    Used Motor Oil

A WMP representative will be available at an information booth during the Cleanup Day at the Knights of Columbus from 8am to 12pm.

Community members could also drop off these types of hazardous waste at the Transfer Depot on weekdays and Saturdays from 8am until 4pm.
