Tobacco and Algonquin land claim among agenda items for Iroquois Caucus

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that the Iroquois Caucus will be meeting next week at the Oneida of the Thames territory in Ontario.
Among the agenda items are Tobacco; the contentious Algonquin Land Claim; updates on proposed (individual) summits on Education, Language, Taxation and Economic Development; Protocol Agreement between the Iroquois Caucus and the Assembly of First Nations; Border Crossing and other issues.
The meetings will be held next Wednesday and Thursday, 13-14 Onerahtókha/April. Attending will be Ratitsénhaienhs Joseph Tokwiro Norton, Martin Leborgne, Bobby Patton and (Thursday only) Gina Deer.
The Iroquois Caucus consists of elected Councils from Kahnawà:ke, Akwesasne, Kanesatake, Tyendinaga, Wahta, Six Nations and the Oneidas of the Thames.
