Mark Jocks re-appointed to Kahnawake Gaming Commission Chair

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that Mark Jocks has been re-appointed to the position of Chairperson/Commissioner for the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC) at a duly convened Council meeting on Tuesday, March 29, 2016. The term is for two (2) years, expiring on March 31, 2018.
“We have been fortunate to have someone of Mark Jocks’ caliber continue to fill the very demanding role of Chairperson,” said Gaming Portfolio Chief Gina Deer. “Mark′s extensive experience in the online gaming industry, including regulatory support and information technologies makes us very confident in our choice to re-appoint.”
The appointment passed with one objection by Ietsénhaienhs Arlene Jacobs.
The KGC consists of three voting Commissioners who are appointed by the MCK based on staggered terms. Mr. Jocks re-joins the other current Commissioners, Lori Jacobs and Melanie Mayo.
