Agenda set for proposed Tobacco Law First Hearing on Thursday, October 29

The Kahnawą:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission wishes to inform the community that the agenda has been set for the First Hearing for the proposed Kahnawą:ke Tobacco Law.
The intent is to create a law that will regulate the tobacco industry and is a joint effort between the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke and the Kahnawake Tobacco Association.
The agenda will be as follows: a) Selection of Community Reps; b) Section #1: Jurisdiction; c) Section #2: Paramountcy; and d) Section #3: Intent and Purpose

- Location: Knights of Columbus Hall
As is standard procedure for creating or amending legislation, the meeting will utilize the Community Decision Making Process. Participants are asked to arrive a few minutes early in order for the meeting to begin on time and are urged to read the proposed law in advance.
