04/29/2015
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform road users that the Ministère des Transport du Quebec (MTQ) will close the access ramp at the St.-Pierre Interchange from Route 138 east to Highway 20 west (toward Dorval) from Friday, May 1st at 11:59pm to Monday, May 4th at 5am.
Further, reconstruction work will resume on the Monette Overpass beginning Monday, May 4th. The structure is located on the LaSalle side of the Montreal-bound Mercier Bridge. Work is expected to be completed by the end of August 2015.
Impacts on traffic will include:
- Weekend closures of the Montreal-bound lanes over the course of the summer. The MTQ will inform users when these closures are planned.
- Occasional overnight closures of one lane or both lanes of a section of Route 138 east are also expected.
The MCK reminds the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
