Consensus reached to proceed with Tobacco Law - Record of Discussion of meeting now available for viewing

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) would like to inform the community that the Record of Discussion from the Community Consultation on the proposed Tobacco Law is now available for viewing on the KLCC website at www.kahnawkaemakingdecisions.com.

The Community Consultation, which was held on Tuesday, 10 Enníska February 2015, resulted in community consensus to proceed with the creation of a law to regulate the tobacco industry in Kahnawà:ke. Consensus was also reached to have the proposed law given priority status.

The First Hearing for the proposed law has not yet been scheduled.
