Monette Overpass reconstruction project, July 2
06/26/2014
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform road users that the Ministère des Transports du Québec has announced plans to reconstruct the Monette Overpass beginning Wednesday, July 2nd.
The Overpass is located at the end of the Montreal-bound side of the Mercier Bridge. Phase One of the reconstruction will take place until December of this year and resume in the Spring of 2015.
Occasional overnight and weekend closures will be required throughout the project and motorists will be notified in advance of any work.
The second phase will see the Monette overpass rebuilt in stages, and is expected to be completed next year.
The MCK reminds the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
