CDMP Hearings on Amendments to Membership Law resume tomorrow (Tuesday)

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to remind the community that proposals to amend the Kahnawà:ke Membership Law (“the Law” or “Membership Law”) will be brought to the Community Decision Making Process when sessions for that purpose resume tomorrow.
The MCK’s Membership Department, along with Membership Portfolio Chief Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer will sponsor:
- A presentation of the statistics on the difference between Canada’s federal list and the Membership Law criteria for the Kahnawà:ke Kanien’kehá:ka Registry
- A summary of the consensus reached by the groups from the sessions held from January to July 2013
- Proposals to amend the Law for the community to discuss and consider
Community Consultations are being held from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Karonhianónhnha School gymnasium. Participants are being urged to arrive a few minutes early in order for the meeting to begin on time.
