New Legislative Newsletter now available

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that the newest edition of Onkwariwa’shon:’a is now completed and is being distributed via Canada Post.

Onkwariwa’shon:’a is has become the ‘Legislative Journal of record’ for laws being proposed, discussed, amended, passed or rejected using the Community Decision Making Process, administered by the Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission.

The new edition (Volume 2, Issue 1) includes updates on the proposed Justice Act, amendments to the Sanitary Conditions Law, the Kahnawà:ke Membership Law, possible changes to the Kahnawà:ke Election Law, as well as brief updates on other submissions for legislation.

Information on the Process itself is also included.
