MCK issues statement regarding complaint

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is informing the community about an issue regarding Chief Carl Horn.

Chief Horn was a guest on the K103 Partyline Talkshow on Friday, 10 Ohiarí:ha/June, where he made comments regarding two business partners of Mr. Wayne Rice, accusing them of taking advantage of the tax status of Mr. Rice on Part “A” of the Mercier Bridge repair project.

The two partners, Roger Vallee and Robert Brodeur, sent a letter to Chief Horn asking for an apology/retraction, which he has refused.  

As there is no confirmation or proof that such accusations have any basis in fact, Chief & Council cannot support the comments and are urging Chief Horn to reconsider his statements.
