The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke announced that representatives from the Government of Québec will be in Kahnawà:ke today to participate in the first formal meeting specifically on gaming in over a decade. The representatives are part of the province’s negotiating team for the Québec/Kahnawà:ke Relations. The meeting will be prefaced by a tour of the facilities of Mohawk Internet Technologies. “This is an exciting time to be involved with the gaming portfolio,” said Chief John Dee Delormier. “This is positive step forward for Québec. We’re confident that this will be the start of some productive discussions.”
